Better Homes & Gardens

Remember this? It turned into THIS! Wow, my mom is so proud.

June issue, page 123. They did a great job with the article, the photographer was great, and the set designer took some cues from my own style board, which I'm thankful for. But I do feel a little out of my element with the fashion. I mean, I never carry a tray, haven't worn earrings in 10 years, and usually wear Frye boots instead of wedges, but overall I'm honored to be in such a long standing magazine as a woman of style. Thanks so much for featuring me BHG! Truly an honor!

Springtime

Easter weekend we had an egg hunt and ice cream social for about 20 kids and 30 kiddish adults. It is something we do every year to celebrate the coming of Spring and watching the kids excitement over dying eggs and hunthing them never grows old. This year I filled 400 eggs with fairy crystals, friendship bracelets, sea shells, buttons, money, gemstones, rocks, mini clickers, and some chocolate (of course). Plus one golden egg filled with enough goodness to make even Veruca Salt jealous. My ingenious husband hid that one in a firewood log. Yes, he actually carved it out and snuck it in and replaced the bark after. Brills. It took a few clues and some diligent adults to find that one. These are a few Instagram photos I took. (my new favorite iPhone app). I love my times with the family and friends, and I appreciate that I have a place to journal it here. Thanks for re-inspiring me E

Oh and Sweet Lucie's, your Dreamsicle ice cream is still on my mind.
